Liquidity-Management Roundtable at AFBS

At the recent roundtable hosted by the Association of Foreign Banks in Switzerland, Olga Briukhova and Peter Vollenweider presented the Finyon approach to prudent liquidity management and shared insights from their crisis management experience.

Building on lessons from both historical and more recent bank failures, they outlined key principles for sound liquidity management and illustrated how these principles are applied throughout the end-to-end management process.

Supported by practical examples, the presentation covered the key elements and lessons learned across the core components of liquidity management:

  • Risk modelling and scenario development

  • Measurement and reporting

  • Mitigation and management tools

  • Governance

To promote more efficient liquidity usage, the presentation concluded with insights into the application of funds transfer pricing to bank steering and product pricing.

Thanks to the engaging atmosphere and active participants, the session fostered a valuable exchange of experiences and ideas.

We are grateful to the AFBS for inviting us.
